The Standard opened in February 2014 and is located in the heart of Hobart's CBD down Hudsons Lane, off Liverpool Street. Since then, Sam Chang and Christian Ryan have been serving both quality interpretations of the ultimate American Burger while also creating new variations of the Californian classic.
The iconic graffiti wall designed by talented local artist Aeden Howlett, reflects the hip sensibilities of the surrounding area while also paying tribute to California's storied past.
At The Standard we are 100% Tasmanian owned and only use the best local produce to make our burgers. We make all our patties and chicken from scratch, while we bake our buns fresh every morning.
Over the coming months The Standard is further developing to offer a sit-in dining option.
